Bucktown Badboy

Bad Boy.jpg

BadBoy is owned by Dr. Bob Davison and is often ridden by his daughter, Celeste. Badboy was born in April 2002 which makes him 21 years old.

His Sire is Badlands Hanover and his Dam Kehms Scooter and he is a registered American Standardbred.BadBoy was bred as a harness racehorse and he has been trained and raced for many years as a “Pacer”. In this gait, the horse moves both legs on each side of his body in turn, moving almost like a camel.

BadBoy had 234 starts at Rosecroft Raseway, and had 19 wins for lifetime earnings of $155,533! When he retired from racing, Dr. Davison had hopes of turning him into a show horse for Celeste, or at least as a pleasure horse. To help in that retraining, in

April 2020 he moved BadBoy to Linden Farm. BadBoy has proven to be a very smart horse and very willing to change his Pace to a Trot and to canter. He has learned to jump small fences and has proven to be an excellent mount for beginner riders who need an obedient and reliable horse.

In Sept 2023, he was entered in the All Standardbred Show at Frederick, MD. With Celeste in the saddle, he won Reserve Champion Junior Pleasure Division, Reserve Champion Junior Hunter Division and Reserve Champion In-Hand Division.

We are delighted to have this very handsome, kind and generous horse here at Linden Farm!
