My Sweet Annie

MY SWEET ANNIE is a lovely, big, sorrel mare. She was out of a Belgian Draft Horse Mare and sired by an American Quarter Horse. She was bred by our Amish blacksmith, Rufus Hofstetler who was very pleased too see her returned to a safe and caring barn where he could look after her feet!

She is 8 and was purchased by Miss Karen as a field hunter for her son Aaron Altieri who still owns the horse. Aaron has been unable to ride due to other professional obligations and allows Linden Farm to use the horse as a lesson horse for adult riders.

In her first ever show season last year with Mounted Wanderers, she earned two Reserve Championships and two third place ribbons. She was ridden by Amy Carney in Amy’s first ever show season!!

Since this experience, Amy and Annie have participated in Competitive and for pleasure Trail rides, A Hunter Pace, and a Fox Hunt!!! These ladies are a very attractive pair and have proven the judgement and excellent eye of Miss Karen in selecting quality horses for the Linden Farm Family.
